Hope and medical electricity – new publication!

Our researcher Annika Raapke has written a blog post about medical electricity for Hoffnung handelnL’espérance en action -blog.

The blogpost is in German and its title is Ein Funke, kaum zu seh’n… Hoffnung und die Kräfte der medizinischen Elektrizität, 1740-1790. As translated in English, the title is Hope and the Forces of Medical Electricity, 1740–1790. In the blogpost, Annika discusses the early use of electricity in medicine and how the effects of electroshocks on the body was understood.
